Mr. Alfred Claude Thornton, age 70, of Chatsworth formerly of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Mr. Thornton was born in Haralson County on January 11, 1942. He was the son of the late Earnest Thornton and the late I.V. Wood Thornton. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Thornton; three daughters, Paige, Stacey and Amy; one sister, Brenda Waters; two brothers, Bobby Thornton and Boyce Thornton; and a number of other relatives.Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday afternoon from 2:00 P.M.until 4:00 P.M.Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
