Steve was born on January 6, 1936 in Charleston and was a son of Kenneth W. and Theodora (Stevens) Craig.  He married Leah June Field on July 30, 1961 in Charleston and for more than fifty years they have shared a marriage grounded in faith and friendship.  In addition to June he is survived by three children, Philip T. Craig and wife Dawn of Easton, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth (Beth) Maxwell of Winchester, New Hampshire, Michele (Shelley) Smock and husband Dan of Charleston; ten grandchildren, Alison, Josiah, Gabriel and Tommy Craig, Heather and Lauren Maxwell, Michael, Jonathon, Keith and Tabitha Smock; a great-grandchild on the way; four sisters, Marjorie Grimston of Sheriden, Illinois, Martha Roberts and husband Raymond of Grandview, Illinois, Judy Atchison and husband Bill of Tucson, Arizona, Christine Pantle and husband Charlie of Paris, Illinois; two brothers, James (Jim) Craig and wife Carolyn of Charleston and Tom Craig and wife Debbie of Silver Creek, Indiana; a brother-in-law, Chuck Dollar of Charleston; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents Steve was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dan Maxwell and a sister, Devona Dollar.
