Not sure what to say?

She was a wonderful person with a kind heart to me.

Sorry to hear of your loss. May God be with you all during this time.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families. I grew up across the street from the Corders and remember Martha as a very sweet and gentle woman, devoted wife, and loving mother. May we be comforted that the Good Lord now holds her in the palms of His loving hands.

Aunt Martha was one of the sweetest people I ever knew. She was one of a kind.

I am so sorry for your loss. Aunt Martha was such a sweet person!! I was so happy to see her when she came to Ohio for our dad's Memorial Service (Jim Stubblefield) just a few short months aqo. I am sure they are all having a happy reunion in heaven and the Lord is throwing them a fantastic party. Dad use to enjoy dancing, so I am sure he is giving his sister a whirl. No pain, just joy and happiness. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. God Bless!!

Martha was born on December 29, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio and was a daughter of Howard and Mary Olive (Foster) Stubblefield.  She married Robert L. Corder on December 31, 1949 and they have shared a loving marriage and friendship for more than sixty-two years.  In addition to her husband, Martha is survived by five children, Barbara Conway and husband Daniel of Livonia, Michigan, Bob Corder and wife Carole of Hutton Township, Janette Diaz and fiancé Dave Green of Greenup, Illinois, Lynda Hayton and husband Kevin of Hutton Township, Roy Corder and wife Patricia of Greenup; twenty-two grandchildren, Mandy Bayles, Scott Bayles and wife Ashley, Sarah Nichols and husband Anson, Amy Corder and special friend Jed Schumacher, Robert Corder and wife Samantha, Shannon Wilkerson, Josh Baker and wife Mallory, Christopher Diaz, Travis Green and wife Cindy, Troy Green, Tatum Tonn and husband Danny, Trista Cisney and husband Kendall, Tyndall Green, Teal Green, Emily Leighty, Allison Leighty, Christopher Hayton, Stuart Hayton, Graham Hayton, Tia Hayton, Elaine Landers and husband Brent and Tyler Corder; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Robert Stubblefield of Ohio and Steve Stubblefield of Wisconsin; a sister, Pamela Ehrensing of Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents Martha was preceded in death by a brother, James Stubblefield and three sisters, Naomi Gross, Iona Jane Butz and Carol Ann Gourlas.

Martha assisted in the family business as a bookkeeper for the Stop-N-Go Food Store.  She formerly attended the Providence Separate Baptist Church located near their home and was a member of a local garden club.

Martha's interest included watercolor painting and flower and vegetable gardening – she often kept her boys busy digging the site for her next flower garden.  She also enjoyed watching the many birds which made their way to their bird feeders which she made certain were kept filled.  But for Martha it was her family that was most near and dear to her heart.  She was meticulous in the care of her home but as a loving and devoted wife and mother she created a warm and loving home for her family - a place where those who visited felt comfortable and welcomed.  She cherished being a grandmother and adored her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Martha will truly be missed and will always be affectionately remembered by those who knew her, and by her family who dearly loved her.
