Terry Dennis Lundgren

CHARLESTON, IL – Terry Dennis Lundgren, 71, departed this life at 10:25 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at his residence.  Per the wishes of the deceased, there will be no service at this time.  A celebration of his life will be held at a date and time to be determined later in the spring. Terry was born to George and Elsie (Friedl) Lundgren in Chicago, Illinois on March 3, 1941.  He married Carol (Schulz) Lundgren on November 27, 1963, who survives him in Charleston, Illinois.  He is also survived by his sister, Karen Werner of Reston, Virginia and his brother, Wayne Lundgren of Phoenix, Arizona. After receiving his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University, Terry taught with his wife at Utah State University and Eastern Illinois University.  He retired from EIU in 2001, a beloved teacher who kept in touch with several of his students, a few of whom became life-long friends. Adams Funeral Chapel is handling cremation rites.  Expressions of sympathy may be sent to his wife at [email protected].
