Frank's Obituaries

Frank C. Adami Sr., 86, passed away suddenly at Somerset Medical Center with his family by his side on Fri., April 19th, 2013. Born in Plainfield, he raised his family in Warren and moved to Middlesex in 1981. Frank, an expert machinist, was the founder of F & A Machine of Middlesex, NJ in 1974 with his son Frank Jr. He continued to work part-time alongside his sons and grandson Dan who currently run their family owned business. Frank dutifully served his country in the US Marines in WWII. He was an active and lifelong member of the American Legion Post 293 in Warren. He was chairman of the Memorial Committee for over 40 years. Frank loved Jazz Music, and was an accomplished antique clock hobbyist, repairing and restoring over 100 clocks. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Jean Thomashefsky Adami, his daughters, Carol Torr and husband Mike of Basking Ridge, and Nancy Adami of Middlesex, his sons, Frank Jr. and wife Jeannette of Dunellen, and William of Dunellen, stepdaughter, Kathy Tinnes and husband Robert of Martinsville, William Raub Jr. of MO and grandchildren, Michael and Stephen Torr, Dan and wife Christina and Jaclyn Adami, Liz Pepe, Michelle, Robert Jr. and William Tinnes. Visiting will be Monday, April 22nd, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a Service at the Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 23rd at 10AM. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Donations can be made to the American Legion Post 293, 12 Community Pl, Warren, NJ 07059.
