Nelson Vargas DeJesus

Nelson Vargas DeJesus, 22, of Meriden, died unexpectedly, Monday, May 20, 2013 in Puerto Rico.Nelson was born in Puerto Rico, May 18, 1991, a son of Filomena DeJesus and Carlos A. Vargas and his wife Sophia, all of Meriden. He was currently enrolled at the Women and Families Center Open D.O.H.R. HAZWOPER Technician Program.In Addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers and sisters Wayne Vargas DeJesus, Christopher DeJesus, Gilberto Guadalupe, Ashja-Bianca Vargas, Carlos A. Vargas Jr., Adriel Vargas, Anairma Vargas DeJesus and Judyya Moss-Chisolm; his maternal grandfather Nelson DeJesus of Torrington; his paternal grandparents Rafael and Victoria Vargas of Meriden; and several aunts; uncles, cousins; and friends.His family will receive relatives and friends in the Apostolic Community Church of Jesus and Ministries, 146 Center St. Meriden, Friday, May 31, 2013 from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., followed by a service in the church at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.
