My deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. I knew Gary from working Reception desk at the Unemployment Office. Gary was very well liked, always a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by many.

CHARLESTON, IL – Gary Wain Bosler, age 59 of Charleston, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the comfort of his home and in the loving presence of his family. Visitation for family and friends will be held this evening (Friday) from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with Masonic Services conducted by members and guests of Hutton Masonic Lodge #698 A.F. & A.M. at the close of visitation. Services honoring and celebrating his life will begin at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Adams Funeral Chapel with Pastor Scott Sims officiating. It is requested that thoughtful donations in his honor be made to Debra to assist with final expenses. Gifts may be left on the memorial table at the visitation or service, or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920.
Gary was born on October 23, 1953 in Mattoon, IL and was the son of George W. and Joanne (Hunter) Bosler. He married Debra L. Combs on June 30, 1973 and they recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. He is also survived by his two children, Gabe Bosler and girlfriend Tara Reedy and Gara Sims and husband Gary, all of Charleston; four grandchildren, Austin and Raegan Sims and Averie and Grady Bosler; his mother, Joanne Bosler of Charleston; a sister, Doris (Bob) Hill and a brother Bill (Suzie) Bosler, all of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews and their families. Gary was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Karen Maynard.
Gary was a 1971 graduate of Charleston High School and was a CDL Instructor for Lake Land College as well as part owner of Sign Creations Plus. He was a member of the Hutton Masonic Lodge #698 A.F. & A.M.; the Charleston VFW Post 1592 Men's Auxiliary; and the Charleston Moose Lodge #1388.
Gary loved to be on his motorcycle and shared many rides and many miles with his brothers and sisters of the road. He enjoyed just "hanging out" with his many friends and his sense of humor was sure to create a laugh or two along the way. Gary enjoyed the simple things in life such as old western movies, planting his annual vegetable garden (for someone else to tend) and just spending quality time with his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and he was their biggest fan and supporter, especially when attending their sporting events.
Gary will be fondly remembered as one who blessed and enriched the lives of his family through his loving devotion and the lives of countless others through his steadfast friendship.
