Mitchell's Obituary
MATTOON, IL – Mitchell D. Grubbs, age 51 of Mattoon, passedaway on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to Laura Grubbs toassist the family with final expenses and may be mailed to Adams FuneralChapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.
Mitchell was born November 7, 1961 in Dallas, Texas a son ofRalph and Brenda (Kelly) Grubbs. Hemarried Laura (Adams) Hawkins on April 20, 2006 in Hendersonville, NC. He is survived by his wife Laura of Mattoon,4 children, Bradley Grubbs of Jacksonville, FL, Melvin Hawkins, Taylor Hawkinsand Ethan Hawkins, all of Mattoon; his mother Brenda Grubbs of Seattle, WA; anda sister Jackie Grubbs of Jacksonville, FL. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mitchell was a U.S. Army veteran and a former Englishteacher in Miami, FL. He was a member ofSt. John's Lutheran Church in Mattoon.
