I regretted to hear of wayne's passing. I haven' t seen Wayne in a number of years, we played football to together at Marianna High School and I remember our friendship well.

Stephen Wayne Goodson, a 1958 graduate of Marianna High School, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 in Chiefland, Florida. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was employed as an aircraft mechanic on the C-130 Hercules and the F22 Raptor from the early 1960?s until 1998 at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics of Atlanta, Georgia. After his retirement, he moved to Florida.Mr. Goodson was preceded in death by his parents, Ester and N.H. Goodson of Marianna, and his oldest brother, Donald Goodson of White City. He is survived by his wife, Mary Goodson of Cross City, Florida; his daughter and her husband Casey and Tommy Madden along with their two children, Ella and Thomas of Beaufort, South Carolina. Mr. Goodson is also survived by one sister and her husband, Evelyn and Odell Ward of Marianna, his four brothers and their wives, McCoy and Wilma Goodson of Marianna, Tim and Myrlene Goodson of Calhoun County, Florida, Paul and Dorothy Goodson of Panama City, Florida and James and Nina Goodson of Marianna. Other surviving family members include one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ida Goodson, eight nephews and ten nieces.Services for Mr. Goodson will be held from the graveside in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, November 17, 2013 with Cliff Neal officiating.Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
