Barry L. Christopher, 73 of Taylorville passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at 7:50 PM at Meadow Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.He was born on August 10, 1940 at Morrisonville the son of Clarence L. Sr. and Treva H. (Parish) Christopher. He was preceded in death by his parents; Sister, Barbara Colclasure; Brother, James Christopher; Nieces and Nephews.Barry was a machinist at Fiat-Allis before his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles Club 1425 and a proud supporter of the V.F.W. He was a veteran of the Air Force.Survivors include: Sisters, Millie Christopher of Edinburg, IL, Wilma "Willie" (husband, Doug) Murphy of Weston, OH and Treva (husband, John) Fiaoni of Taylorville, IL; Brothers, Clarence Jr. (wife, Grace) Christopher of Edinburg, IL, Alan L. Christopher of Mattoon, IL and Donald (wife, Susie) Christopher of Taylorville, IL; Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville with Sr. Rose McKeown officiating. Burial will follow at Edinburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
