I was a classmate of Mary Jane's, all the way back to St. Mary's School. I remember her giggle and the stories she wrote. My sympathy to all of her family members.

I know the angels are having a celebration at your arrival my dear friend. I will miss our chats, our laughing, our crying and sharing our burdens, our times together . I will see you again one day .God will comfort dear family of my dear friend .

Mary's Obituary

Mary Jane Vancil, 55 of Springfield passed away at 2:35 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at St. John's Hospice in Springfield.She was born on February 16, 1959 at Taylorville the daughter of Merle P. and Mary L. (Pile) Vancil. She was married to Thomas Kidd and then to Mark Fahrenbacher. She was preceded in death by her parents.Mary Jane was a well liked clerk for the Taylorville A & P grocery store until its closing. She then attended Lincoln Land Community College where she obtained an associate's degree in computer science. She also had course work at Sangamon State University before beginning a career as an accountant for the Illinois State Museum Society form 1985 to 2013.Survivors include: Daughters, Annalise Fahrenbacher and Larissa Fahrenbacher both of Springfield, IL; Son, Jeffery Fahrenbacher of Springfield, IL; Grandson, Tryen Thompson; Sisters, Christine (Doug) Loucks of Hillsboro, IL, Phyllis (Stan) Harris and Geraldine (Ray) Klinefelter both of Taylorville, IL and Charlotte Montgomery (Mark Edmiston) of Springfield, IL; Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of Mary Jane's life will be announced at a later date.Sympathy cards and notes of remembrance may be sent to the Fahrenbacher children at 3430 North Peoria Road, #75, Springfield, IL 62702.To help offset funeral expenses, monetary donations may be made payable to "Mary Jane Vancil Services" and sent to her sister, Charlotte Montgomery at 414 ½ East Monroe Street, Springfield, IL 62701.Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
