I worked with Nancy at The Village of Winnetka and always enjoyed her smiling face and her sense of humor. I have missed her since she left. I am praying that your family will find peace that she is in a better place and that God is with her now.

Nancy was part of my life because of my father but she was never just a step-mother to me...she was a very good friend. We enjoyed many great meals together and she went to plays with me when no one else wanted to go. She enjoyed discovering new restaurants with me and even allowed me to cook an entire Christmas Eve dinner out of the Gourmet magazine for her. I will miss her Christmas cookies and her stuffing. I will always remember her generosity with my animals (and my boyfriends). May she...

I just want everyone to know what a wonderful sister Nancy was to me. We spent so many hours traveling together, shopping together and just "hanging out" on overnighters, laughing, crying, sharing so many things. I've lost not only my sister, but my best friend, and I will miss her desperately, but I know she's up in heaven with not only our mom and dad, but with her beloved Shar-peis who died before her and were, I'm sure, waiting for her at the "Rainbow Bridge." Nancy's Obituaries

Nancy Ernst nee Duclos Age 69 of Northfield, IL passed away suddenly on June 21, 2014. Beloved mother of Michelle (Jason) Cohn, Christina Yorgey, Manuel "Augie" (Leslie) Ajuria; loving grandmother of John Paul Petrikas, Max and Jackson Cohn; cherished sister of Vivian (Rich) Olsen; loving daughter of the late Hector and the late Celia Duclos; adoring aunt to Rik and Christopher Olsen. Nancy, a native of Chicago, graduated Madonna high school in 1963. While raising a family, she worked at Weiss Memorial Hospital, then later Horton Publishing and Evanston Hospital before retiring from the Village of Winnetka in 2010. She was an avid traveler and Shar-pei lover. We were blessed to have her for 69 years and she will be dearly missed.The family extends an invitation to all friends and family members to share a memory of Nancy during the ceremony.
