Betty J. Hoffmeister

Betty Jean Hoffmeister, 87 of Taylorville passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 9:46 PM at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.She was born August 29, 1926 at Velma, Illinois the daughter of Clarence and Blanche (Speagle) Oliver. She married Paul E. Hoffmeister on September 20, 1947 at Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her parents; Son, Michael Hoffmeister; Daughter, Juliann Harrison; Brother and sister in law, Darrell and Nelda Oliver.Betty was co-owner of Triple H Treats, Wet Pet and previously worked for Goodwill Industries. She enjoyed making candy and oil painting. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 70 years.Survivors include: Her husband, Paul E. Hoffmeister of Taylorville, IL; Daughters, Tresa (husband, Mitch) Mansfield of Taylorville, IL and Cheryl (husband, Tim) Hampton of Waggoner, IL; Son, Mark (wife, Peggy) Hoffmeister of Langleyville, IL; Grandchildren, Joee (Terry) Johnson, Sara (Steven) Salisbury, Willie (Amber) Cody, Amanda Mansfield (fiancé, Josh), Jessica (Brad) Bell, Michael Lamb Jr., Jennifer Hutchens and Nicole Hampton; Great grandchildren, Jolee Johnson, Waitt Cody, Laiyken Cody, Kendle Cody, Ellie Dill, Brady Bell, Ashley Lamb, Rachel Barker, Emillee Pop, Abby Hutchens, Lane Hutchens and Bailey Johnson; Great great grandchild, Lilly Sue Coghlan; Sister, Donna Beaman of Taylorville, IL; Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home. Private family interment will be held at Hall Cemetery at Blue Mound.Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
