Bart E. Dickerson, 53 of Sorento passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 12:58 PM in Greenville.He was born on February 19, 1961 at Granite City the son of Jack and Alice (Barnstable) Dickerson. He married Tonya Huett on February 26, 2005 at Greenville. He was preceded in death by his parents; Brother, Thomas Giller and infant brother, Roger Dale.Bart worked most of his life at Granite City Steel as a locomotive operator.Survivors include: His wife, Tonya Dickerson of Sorento, IL; Daughters, Christina (husband, Tyler) Hornback of Springfield, IL and Hailey Dickerson of Sorento, IL; Son, Bobby Walker of Sorento, IL; Grandchildren, Maddux Hornback and Gianna Walker; Sisters, Honora "Susie" Blackwell of Worden, IL; Sharon Freeman of Moro, IL, Donna Thorn of Staunton, IL, Jackie File of Sorento, IL, Gloria Durbin of Vandalia, IL, Robin Davis of Hillsboro, IL and Janice Simburger of Coffeen, IL; Brothers, Joseph Dickerson of Edwardsville, IL, Russell Dickerson of Pocahontas, IL and Kevin Dickerson of Sorento, IL; Several nieces and nephews.Bart's family will meet friends on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento.
