James's Obituary
James Anthony "Jim" Gad, 79 of Panama passed away at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at St. Louis University Hospital.He was born on June 6, 1935 at Schram City the son of the late Thomas John and Mary Gladys (Bateson) Gad. He married Marlene Sue Marak on December 9, 1961 at Hillsboro; she preceded him in death on January 5, 2011.Jim was a car hauler for Cassens Transport Service, retiring after many years of service. He was a member of Panama VFW Post 6628 and the Teamsters. He was veteran of the Army.Survivors include: Daughter, Sherri Gad of Panama, IL; Brother, Tom (wife, Cris) Gad of Reno, IL; Uncle, Eugene Gad of Ohio; Many Nieces and Nephews.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama with Pastor Dave Trover officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Panama. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 PM until service time at the Perfetti Funeral Home.Memorials are suggested to Shoal Creek Fire Protection District EMT's.Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama is in charge of arrangements.
