BENNETT, Mr. Bennie Andrew II-age 32, of Grand Blanc, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, October 25, 2014 with 11:30 am family hour at Greater Galilee Baptist Church, 4418 Industrial Ave. Flint, MI 48505. Pastor Latrelle W. Holmes, Sr. officiating. The final resting place for Mr. Bennett will be Sunset Hills Association, Flint, MI. Calling hours are 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Friday, October 24, 2014 with family present from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Serenity Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family request that monetary donations for his son be made directly to Serenity Funeral Chapel.Mr. Bennie Andrew Bennett II, son of Sabrina Jones and Bennie A. Bennett, Sr., was born August 8, 1982 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Bennie was a resident of Grand Blanc, Michigan and graduated from Carman Ainsworth High School ?Class of 2000.? Bennie later attended Grand Rapids Community College and Baker College. Bennie was baptized at an early age at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and was a current member of The Connexion Church in Saginaw, Michigan. Bennie had a special love for gospel rap and spent a lot of time writing music, performing and recording gospel music in the studio.Bennie was also an entrepreneur, holding the positions of Owner/President of Saved Nation Ambassadors (SNA) record label and Vice-President of Energeo, magnetic athletic wear. Bennie shared a special relationship with his beloved son, Maycen. They shared a love for the game of baseball. Bennie was even asked to serve as Assistant Coach for Maycen?s traveling baseball team, which was exciting for both father and son. Bennie also had a flair for fashion and enjoyed dressing both he and Maycen in the latest designer wear.Mr. Bennie Andrew Bennett II leaves to cherish his memory: son, Maycen Andrew Bennett and mother, Sabrina Jones both of Grand Blanc, MI; father, Bennie A.
