Not sure what to say?

On the anniversary of Norman's death, I add that Norman had an interesting collection of
rocks and minerals that he gave to my brother in the 1960's. During one visit, Norman took
my family to the Boron Mine, where a winding road went around the edges of a huge
hole in the earth. It was absolutely amazing, and of course, Norman was able to give us lots
of information about it. In the 1960's, Norman typically came to my home accompanied by
his tagalong friend,...

Cousin Norman, when he was a boy my father acted as his mentor and father figure and helped to raise him, consequently he was more like a brother to me than a cousin. As a boy I remember Norm taking me fishing and camping, spent one night at Ritterbush pond at long trail camp, slept on boards,it was a rough night but memorable. He had very little education but was very knowledgable on many subjects and his mind was sharp until the end.He loved playing cards and tending to the fire in camp stove....

I always enjoyed talking with Norman up on Ober hill We had many good talks about old times. Norman was a fine and Knowledgable man He is in a better place now! I will miss him. May God bless you all in your time of sorrow

As a kid, I remember my uncle driving up from Los Angeles on weekends. He would visit with the family and sometimes go out with my dad and I camping in the Eastern Sierra. He also helped my dad in performing electrical installations during an addition to our house. I remember helping him pull electrical wires through holes he had drilled in new studs. I know he enjoyed the outdoors the most. He loved to hunt and fish.

I last saw him a few years ago when my Dad and I were visiting...

I remember my Uncle Norman as a multi-talented man who loved nature and his independence.
Norman worked as an electrician for many years in Los Angeles, CA. He helped wire one or more sky-rise buildings. I once asked my mother (his sister) how Norman had learned to be an electrician, and she said Norman had self taught himself by reading books.
The only steak I remember eating as a kid, was the one Norman brought when he visited; he brought us the best.
Norman had a long...

My brother need not be idealized, or enlarged in death beyond what he was in life, but he should be remembered simply as a good and decent man.
He was there for his family. I will be forever grateful for his generosity installing electric wiring for several additions to my home. Later, he left a good job in California to return to Vermont and the farm to care for our aging mother.
Norman you are gone but not forgotten.
Your spirit lives within me.

As a kid, Uncle Norman's visits usually included a family card game of Black Jack. He said it wasn't a real game unless we were betting, so I would make a mad dash for my piggy bank for a handful of coins. Fond memories of a hard working guy. RIP
