Jennie D. Suffern

Jennie D. Suffern, 87 of Taylorville passed away at 9:55 PM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.She was born on October 6, 1927 at Taylorville the daughter of the late Elmer "Pete" and Mamie (Ross) Spindel. She married Richard "Dick" Suffern on April 2, 1966 at Taylorville; he preceded her in death on November 17, 1985.Jennie worked as a telephone operator for Consolidated Communications, retiring after many years of service. She also was a babysitter and a member of Community Women's Association. She was of the Methodist faith.Survivors include: Daughter, Melinda (husband, Brian) Foor of Taylorville, IL; Jennie's beloved grandson, Wyatt Samuel Ross Foor.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville with Pastoral Care Shelia Kaye officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00-6:00 PM at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home.Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
