Not sure what to say?

I've been away for the last few months and I just heard the sad news.I'm so sorry for all of Elisabeth's family and friends, she was a talented and beautiful person.I sold many paintings at her gallery over the years, and still have 3 there. What will happen to the gallery now ??

My wife Suzanne Clark has had her Bird art in the Gallery for years. Elizabeth was always helpful. Does anyone know what is to become of the gallery??

I was visiting with Elisabeth at the gallery one morning, and one of her featured artists came in with an acrylic he had just finished - "at breakfast", he said. It was still wet: and lovely. We had a little giggle and she took it from him and told him she would get it ready for display. Great gallery !! Even greater gal.

Elizabeth was a strong advocate for artists in Vermont. She was part of Stowe Gallery Alliance and helped make Stowe a destination for fine art. We at West Branch Gallery will miss her visits and conversation about the art world. Elizabeth had a big heart.

We were so terribly sad to hear of Elizabeth's passing. She had recently come into the pharmacy; she told us how happy she was with her new space, that it was full of light. In fact she was the one who brought her special light in the lives of others. May that light stay with her parents and her children and everyone who loved her.

Elizabeth ran her gallery like a business but also like a celebration of the arts, with Openings featuring artists, musicians playing jazz, wine, cheese, and patrons of the arts all happily blending. She was a gifted artist, smart businesswoman, a hard worker, and a fascinating woman who lived many artistic adventures across the country. She spoke often of her children with love and pride. I wish we'd met them. But I'm sure Elizabeth's fine qualities live on in them.

I enjoyed the time I worked as an artist with Elisabeth at Vt Fine Art. I appreciatted her generosity and artistic sense and her friendship. She will be missed. So sorry for your loss. Blessings to your family.

Elisabeth's Obituary

Elisabeth Wooden – Prior went to be with the Lord after a difficult battle with cancer. She was the owner/curator of Vermont Fine Art Gallery in Stowe, Vermont. She brought her artistic talents, love of art, and adoration of Vermont into Stowe where she resided until God took her home during the evening of Saturday, January 3, 2014. She also created scholarships for student studying Art at the Vermont State Colleges. She had a firm belief in grace through faith and delighted in sharing her testimony of Jesus Christ. Elisabeth is survived by both of her parents Delmar Wooden and Linda Deane. She has 2 sons Joshua and Caleb Lucier and 3 grandsons through Joshua named Gabriel, Elias, and Lucas.
