I remember when I took care of Mary Ellen & Christopher when everyone was so much younger. How time goes by. Dawn was a wonderful person and the Prive family will never forget her. Our condolences to all of you Our prayers are with you all.

Dawn S. HeroldJohnson-Dawn S. Herold, 82, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Greensboro Nursing Home. She was born April 4, 1932 in St. Albans, the daughter of John Stuart and Ellen S. Hoglund Strout. She married Robert Herold on August 27, 1955 in St. Albans.Dawn was a 1950 graduate of BFA-St. Albans High School and graduated from Johnson State College in 1954 with a degree in Education. Following a year teaching at Highgate Springs upon her graduation from Johnson State, Dawn continued her teaching career in Lamoille County with positions at Eden, Hyde Park and Johnson until her retirement in 1991. She was an avid reader and was a faithful and active member of the United Church of Johnson.She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Robert Herold; a son, Christopher R. Herold and wife, Irina of Essex Junction and a daughter, Mary Ellen Herold also of Essex Junction. She was predeceased by her parents.A memorial service was held Saturday, February 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Church of Johnson. Interment will be in the spring in the Lamoille View Cemetery in Johnson. Faith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
