Sally and I delivered meals to Dodie for many years and enjoyed her and the conversations we had. What a wonderful woman and she is and will be missed. She called us her sweetheart couple.

Doris DraperMorrisville-Doris Anna "Dodie" Draper, 97, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 at The Manor in Morrisville. She was born December 31, 1917 in Westmore, VT. She was the daughter of Wilson Hayward and Ina Heath Hayward Bumps and was raised by Leon and Sylvia Farr. She married Gustave P. "John" Draper on October 16, 1940. He predeceased her on September 10, 2002. She had worked as a chambermaid in Stowe for a number of years. She was an avid reader; loved the outdoors and working with her flowers and plants and also like to bake and raised chickens. She appreciated her neighbors and friends that were always there to help her through the years: Ld Bliss, Lois Keith, Annette Smith, Edna Snow, Jeannie, Richard and Sharon Draper and Gabrielle and many others.Dodie is survived by her grandsons, Ian O'Hear of Eden and Eric O'Hear of New Hampshire and great-grandchildren, John and Harley; son-in-law, Patrick O'Hear and very close friends, Ronald and Sharrie Morin. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara O'Hear.Graveside services will be held Friday, June 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Randolph Road Cemetery.
