Bartow's Obituary

TYLER, Mr. Bartow Jr.-age 52, of Flint, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, July 7, 2015 with 10:00 am family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel 3021 S. Dort Hwy. Flint, MI 48507. Pastor Edwin Anderson officiating. The final resting place for Mr. Tyler will be Gracelawn Community Cemetery. Calling hours are 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, July 6, 2015 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel. Mr. Bartow Beauguard Tyler, Jr. was born April 5, 1963 in Flint, Michigan the son of Bartow Beauguard Tyler, Sr. and Catherine (Edwards) Tyler. Bartow was a lifelong resident of Flint and a graduate of Northwestern High School ?Class of 1982?. Bartow better known as ?Bit? was a great cook, gardener and mechanic. He was also good at mimicking everybody. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. ?Bit? leaves to cherish his memory: sons, Tarence (Tamaria) Lard, Keon (Alisha) Lard; 19 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Michael (Nora) Tyler, Faronda (Brenda) Tyler, Terrence Tyler; 3 sisters, Sharon, Terry, Kimmie; 6 nephews; 8 nieces; 25 great-nieces and nephews; 1 aunt, Addie Ruth Jacksons of Bartow County, Georgia; 2 uncles, Mitchell Cox of Jacksonville, Florida, Ernest Tyler of Bainbridge, Georgia; several other relatives and friends including special friends, Betty Lard, Verdell Lyles and Samuel Lyles.Mr. Tyler was preceded in death by: father, Bartow Tyler, Sr.; mother, Catherine Tyler; fiancé, Carmen ?Winky? West; 2 nephews, Michael Causey and Brandon Tyler.The family would like to express special thanks to cousin, Ira G. Edwards, Sr., and Damascus Holy Life Church, cousin, Edwin Anderson and Greater True Hope Church, Tommie Chaney, Terrence Overton, Antwaun Tyler, Betty Lard, Hurley Medical Center doctors and staff of ICU.
