Mr. Joseph "Joe Rob"'s Obituary

Joseph A. Robinson aka ?Joe Rob? was called home to reside with his heavenly father on Friday July 3 2015. Born and raised in Suffolk VA, Joe was a very honorable man who blessed many with his presence. He was employed at Newport News Shipbuilding for many years and recent had the pleasure retiring in July 2012 at the age of 66. Joe had a passion for singing and uplifted all with his beautiful voice. When times were hard Joe called on the Lord, he joined First Baptist Church Denbigh in 1990 where he sung in the Male Choir and continued his walk of faith and love for God. Joe leaves behind the loves of his life, his two grandsons Alijah Joelle Powell and Isaiah Joaquin Powell. In addition, he leaves for all to cherish fond memories; his wife Evelyn Newby Robinson, his three daughters, Joanne Powell, Mary Ann Walker and Joann Wilkins, two brothers, Bernard and Leroy Robinson and a host of other wonderful grandchildren, family members and friends.Services for Mr. Robinson will be held noon Tuesday, July 13, 2015. at first Baptist Church Denbigh,3628 Campbell Rd. by Dr. Ivan T. Harris. Interment will follow in Church Cemetery.Viewing will be two hours prior to service.It is the desire of the Robinson Family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.The family of the late Mr. Joseph Robinson has entrusted his final care to the staff of C.C.Carter Funeral Home LLC.
