Opal Fern Martin

Opal Martin, age 84, of Goshen, Ohio, formerly of Manchester, Kentucky, passed away July 12, 2015 at Anderson Mercy Hospital. She was born August 27, 1930 in Preble County, Ohio to Hazel (Tharp) and Willie Brandenburg. She was a former member of Bethany Bible Church and secretary of Christian Youth Center in Manchester, Kentucky. She is survived by her children, Bill (Melissa) Martin, Sally (Richard) Angel; step-children, Anna (Robert) Galbraith, Gordon (Terri) Martin, Sherry Fary; brothers and sisters, Hubert and Herbert Brandenburg, Peggy Sawyer, Joyce Brandenburg; 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Paul Martin; parents, brothers Joseph Leroy Brandenburg, Robert Brandenburg; and sister, Juanita Brandenburg; step children, Leland Martin, Terry Martin and Frank Martin. Funeral services will be held at Ogle-Paul R. Young Funeral Home, Oxford, Ohio on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be held beginning at 11:00am until the time of the funeral service. Burial will be in the College Corner Cemetery, West College Corner, IN.
