My prayers go out to Kate's family at this time. While I never met Kate, I read her blog and she was on our thread of older Christian women on breastcancer.org. There's nothing I can say about this wonderful woman that you all don't already know. She became one of my most favorite people within moments of meeting her. I'm so jealous of those of you who knew her for decades, and I will miss her and think of her always. I send all my love and prayers to John & the kids & everyone else whose lives feel diminished in her absence.

Kate was especially close to Melissa and Bill Riehle and their family, Debbie ?Doodles? McDonald and the late Dave and Ann Ward and their family. Also survived by many other family and friends. Passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 after a brave fight with breast cancer with an insurmountable amount of faith, wisdom and grace. Age 45. Mass of Christian Burial 9:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19th at St. Gertrude Church, 6543 Miami Ave., 45243. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
