Mrs. Barbara Juanita Studdard Bowman, age 80, of Silver Creek, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at her residence.Mrs. Bowman was born in Rome, Georgia on June 17, 1935, daughter of the late William Solomon Studdard and the late Bertha Mae Bishop Studdard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Harvey Jerome Bowman, on March 13, 2015, by a daughter, Juanita Diane Bowman, by three sisters, Betty Morrow and two infants, by six brothers, Harlan, Alvin, Waldo, J. W., Lowell, and Jamie Studdard, and by he sisters-in-law which include special sisters-in-law, Jackie Sprayberry and Jewell Studdard. Mrs. Bowman was educated in the Rome City Schools and worked for several years at West Point Pepperell Manufacturing and Integrated Products, but for the greater part of her life she was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Reynolds Chapel Baptist Church and had been attending Silver Creek Baptist Church.Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Bowman, Lindale; two grandchildren, Todd Williams and his wife, Nicole, Silver Creek, and April Drew and her husband, Kevin, Rome; four great grandchildren, Kevante, Anna, Kobie and Nash; special neighbors, Barbara Snead and the Massey's; special friends, Ellen Hann and Sharon Rogers; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015, at 11am in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with her grandson, Todd Williams, delivering the eulogy and the Rev. Bradford Thomas and the Rev. Ricky Studdard officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 6 until 8pm. At other hours, they will be at the residence.Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Friday at 10:30am and include: Todd Williams, Kevin Drew, Kevante Drew, Kobie Drew, Nash Williams, and Kenneth Studdard.Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangements.
