Irene's Obituary
Irene Marie Molohon, 96 of Taylorville passed away at 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Meadow Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylorville.She was born on June 7, 1919 at Taylorville the daughter of Walter and Fannie (Hixon) Braughton. Irene married Harlan E. Molohon in 1941 at St. Charles, Missouri; he preceded her in death on January 8, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; Daughter, Ronda S. Wiggins; Son, Ronald E. Molohon; Sisters, Dorothy Dooley and Edith "De De" Braughton; Brothers, Woodrow, Ralph, Clifford and Eugene Braughton.Irene was a homemaker.Survivors include: 4 Grandchildren, Ron Wiggins Jr. of Springfield, IL, Brad Molohon of Taylorville, IL, Beth Peters of Taylorville, IL and Ryan Wiggins of Rochester, IL; Several great grandchildren; Sister, Ruth Coleman of Taylorville, IL; Several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
