Charline Reed

A. Charline Reed, 85 of Panama passed away at 3:42 PM on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Hillsboro Area Hospital.She was born on March 31, 1930 at Granite City, IL the daughter of Edgar George and Mary Jane (Shephard) Fietsam. She married Gerald Gordon "Red" Reed on October 18, 1952 at Madison, IL; he preceded her in death on September 11, 2014; she was also preceded in death by her parents; Son, Rodney Reed and a sister, Jacqueline Fietsam.Charline owned Reed's Ceramic Shop in Granite City for several years. She was a member of VFW Post 6628 Auxiliary and the St. Louis Metro Polka Club.Survivors include: Sons, Edgar "Scooter" Reed of Panama, IL and Michael (wife, Michelle) Reed of Granite City, IL; 5 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; Many Nieces and Nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama with Rev. Adam Penn pastor of Panama United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Panama. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of service at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama.Memorials are suggested to Union Cemetery Maintenance Fund.Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama is in charge of arrangements.
