Rodney and I are very sad about Ya-Chen's passing. She was a very brave and beautiful lady. Strong spirit & much admired. She did her best to battle a very difficult illness. Our sympathies are with you and your family. Our prayers continue, too.

Ya-Chen's Obituary

Ya – Chen Chu, 53 of Terre Haute, passed away at 12:45 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in her residence. She was born in Tai dong, Taiwan on October 5, 1962 to Yung – An Chu and Ai – Lien Ke. She was the assistant manager at Panda Garden Restaurant. She is survived by her husband, Allen Yeng, and their children Jimmy Yeng and Debbie Yeng. Also surviving are her parents Yung – An Chu and Ai – Lien Ke, and two brothers; Cheng – Ming Chu and Cheng – Chuan Chu, as well as a sister, Chih – Wei Chu. Other family members include her mother –in – law and father – in – law, Yu – Chiao Yeng and Sheau – Shia Yeng, three brothers – in law; Cheng – Jung Yeng, Cheng – Fu Yeng, and Louis Yeng, as well as a sister – law, Justine Yen and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 4:30 PM, with Rev. Bryce Ulrich officiating, with cremation to follow service Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 1:00 – 4:30 PM at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to an education fund for her children, Jimmy and Debbie Yeng, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
