Rita Marie Beaudoin

            Rita Beaudoin, of Methuen, MA and Oxford, OH passed away peacefully on March 8, 2016 at the age of 86 surrounded by members of her immediate family at Woodland Country Manor in Somerville, Ohio.

            Rita was born in Lawrence, MA on December 11, 1929 to Henry and Annette (Dumont) Bourassa, who were loving parents to Rita and her five sisters: Alice (Giragosian), Yvonne (Eddy), Gloria (Bonjiorno), Theresa (Cornu), and Ann (Chakurmanian).

            She married the late Arthur J. Beaudoin and lived most of her adult life in Methuen, Massachusetts. A devoted, faithful, and caring mother, Rita leaves her cherished memory to her children Joanne (Russo) of Oxford, OH, Michael Beaudoin of Methuen, MA, Rita (Cinelli) of Londonderry, NH; and she is re-united with Patti (Thomas) who preceded her in death.

            Rita retired from Raytheon Corporation where she worked as a skilled production technician for the MIM-104 “Patriot” Guided Missile. In retirement Rita spent much of her time doting over eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. With her close and committed friend Joseph Bibeau (deceased) of Pelham, NH, she enjoyed travelling and visiting with her many friends and family. Rita was a master card player and expert Bingo competitor. Her quick-thinking mind and astute eye served her well in her favorite recreational games.

            Rita had many special friends among the residents and staff at Woodland Country Manor (Somerville, OH) who will miss her cheerful spirit and affectionate friendship. Her daily strolls and helpful manner were much appreciated and genuinely regarded.

            A memorial service for celebrating Rita’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 16, 2016 at Woodland Country Manor, 4166 Somerville Rd, Somerville, OH 45064. A Catholic funeral mass and burial will be held in Methuen MA in May. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
