Geraldine A. "Jerry" Durbin, 79 of Taylorville passed away at 2:55 PM on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at her home.She was born on November 14, 1936 at Taylorville the daughter of Charles and Beulah (Brown) Richards. Jerry married Harold L. "Larry" Durbin on June 18, 1954 at Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sons, Donald E. Durbin and Charles L. "Little Larry" Durbin, Sister, Betty Richards.Jerry worked as a nurse's aide at St. Vincent Hospital in Taylorville, retiring after 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and listening to gospel music.Survivors include: Her husband, Larry Durbin of Taylorville, IL; Sister, Paula (husband, Clarence) Hunt of Auburn, IL; Several nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
