Evelyn Taksel, 94, of Freehold, NJ, formerly of McKeesport, died Sunday, July 31, 2016. She was born October 29, 1921 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ann Harr Krause. She was the wife of the late Sam Taksel who died in 1981. She was a former member of Temple B'Nai Israel and was retired from the Dept. of Public Welfare in McKeesport. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Robert) St. Lifer of Colts Neck, NJ, son, Ken Taksel of Pittsburgh, and grandchildren, Lillian, Sam (Anne) and Emily. There is no visitation. Graveside service will be held Tuesday August 2, at 11:00 am in the Temple B'Nai Israel Cemetery, Versailles. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple B'Nai Israel, 2025 Cypress Drive, McKeesport, PA 15131or the Alzheimer's Association, 412-261-5040.
