We are so so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. Maxine was such a wonderful person who loved to have fun. I recall such great memories having fun times with Marie and the entire family. So sorry to hear of this, Max and family. Every time I spoke to Maxine, she was so friendly and had a great sense of humor. A privilege to know her.

Maxine's Obituary

Maxine Marie Ellinger, 81 of Taylorville passed away at 1:19 PM on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.She was born on June 3, 1935 in rural Christian County the daughter of George and Goldie (Cummings) Miller. Maxine married Max M. Ellinger on December 11, 1952 at Pocahontas, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, Son in law, John Wilcox and a Nephew, Tom Miller.Maxine had a full life that was enriched by her loving husband of 63 years along with her legacy of her four children, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She enjoyed Saturday get togethers with her family playing cards and games and Sunday get aways with her husband. Maxine was of the Christian faith and a firm believer in "right is right, wrong is wrong" and she was quick to share it.Survivors include: Her husband, Max M. Ellinger of Taylorville, IL; Son, Bruce (Patti) Ellinger of Taylorville, IL; Daughters, Marie (Mike) Wilcox of Springfield, IL, Vicki (Rod) McMahon and Valerie (Jim) Ellinger both of Taylorville, IL; 8 grandchildren, Aubrey Ellinger, Erin Ellinger, Donald (Lauren) Colonius Jr., Brian (Tracee) Wilcox, Stefanie Colonius, Megan (Ethan) Wilcox Hallberg, Lindsay (Brandon) Colonius and Maxx Ellinger; 6 great grandchildren, Jackson Fritz, Grayson Ellinger, Olivia Hallberg, Sydney Hallberg, Samson Colonius and Teegan Jones; Brothers, Kenneth (Dolly) Miller of Vandalia, IL, Keith (Mary Ann) Miller of St. Jacob, IL and Larry Miller of Nokomis, IL; Sisters, Alma Arntzen of Quincy, IL and Beverly Mack of Ormond Beach, FL; Several nieces and nephews.In respecting Maxine's wishes cremation rites have been accorded and private family services will be held at a later date.Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
