John F. Wenk

John Frederick Wenk was born May 25, 1932 to Irene and Fred John Wenk.  He died November 9, 2016 at the age of 84.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 32 years, Norma Jean Wenk; a son, Fred John Wenk; a daughter, Debra Jean Franklin; and his second wife of 23 years, Mary Wenk.

John is survived by one daughter, Teri Baker (Wes) of Okeechobee, Florida; three sons, Michael Wenk (Hester) of Vine Grove, Kentucky, Joseph Wenk (Janet) of Evansville, Indiana, and Timothy Wenk (Jennifer) of Terre Haute, Indiana; three stepchildren, Scott Mysiewicz (Pam) of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Timothy Mysiewicz (Lisa) of Hammond, Indiana and Sheri Sago of Fisherville, Kentucky. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and one sister, Dorothy Fioretta of Lowell, Indiana.

John was retired from US Steal Mill and Ford Plant. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 142. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his dog, “Pretty Boy”.

Services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 12:00 noon EST at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 East Springhill Drive, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802 with Reverend Lynn Dunning officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. EST at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memory Gardens, Schererville, Indiana Monday November 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. CST.
