Robert Buzzingham

Robert "Joe" Buzzingham, 84 of Taylorville passed away at 11:40 AM on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.He was born on December 31, 1931 at Evansville, IN the son of Raymond and Evelyn (Davis) Buzzingham. He married Betty J. Hampton on June 29, 1957 in Taylorville; she preceded him in death on November 23, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents; Daughter, Barbara Koches; Daughter in law, Lila Koches and a sister, Linda Fillenworth.Robert worked as a machinist for Borg-Warner, retiring after 32 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post #73 and VFW Post #4495. He was a veteran of the Army serving during the Korean War. Robert enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards and most of all spending time with his family.He is survived by: 1 Daughter, Candice (Husband, Brad) Spent of Taylorville, IL; 1 Son, Kenny (Wife, Marcy) Koches of Taylorville, IL; 4 Grandchildren, Amanda McMillan, Alpha Shane Koches, Madison Spent and Ashley Spent; 2 Great Grandchildren, Hailey McMillan and Zachary McMillan; Several Nieces and Nephews.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville with Rev. Dayle Badman officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00-6:00 PM at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home.Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
