I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, condolences to all the Page family. I hope you can find comfort at this difficult time. I hope the words at 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can serve as a hope to you all.

So sorry we couldn't be there for her service. She was a lovely woman and you have our love and condolences.

Eileen H. (Daykin) PageEileen H. (Daykin) Page, 100 of Taylorville passed away at 12:32 PM on Monday, January 2, 2017 at her home.She was born on September 3, 1916 at Alberta, Canada the daughter of Harley and Albertina (Mix) Wilcox. She married Jason Daykin on May 17, 1942 at Taylorville; he preceded her in death on February 25, 1988. She then married Melvin Page on August 18, 2002 at Taylorville; he also preceded her in death on September 22, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Son, Eric Daykin, Sisters, Elizabeth Mills and Lillian Johnson, Brothers, Charles Wilcox and Ernest Wilcox and Half Sister, Lucille Phares.Eileen worked as a cosmetician at Morton Drug Store in Taylorville and was trained as a beauty consultant by Charles of the Ritz. She had also worked at the A & P Store and Woolworth's. In the 1930's, she and her sister Eleanor DeRochi had a radio show where Eileen yodeled, played the harmonica and guitar while Eleanor harmonized. She was very active member of the Community of Christ Church where for many years she delivered meals on wheels until 2011 at the age of 95. She was a 50 year member of the Taylorville Women's Club where she served two terms as President, stepped down as an election judge at the age of 90, assisted with the Red Cross Blood Drive and was past President of the Quilters Guild. She was a foreign exchange host mother to 3 exchange students, Kirsti Husum of Norway, Jacki Santana of Brazil and Lisa Yama of Finland. Eileen was very active and proud of the Taylorville community and helped in many ways to promote Taylorville, such as the Taylorville Home Tour.Survivors include: Daughter, Kay (husband, Robert) Schutte of Apple Valley, MN; Grandchildren, Erika Schutte of Kansas City, MO and Chad Schutte of Austin, TX; Brothers, Dean (wife, Mae) Wilcox of Selma, AL and Jim (wife, Joyce) Wilcox of Owaneco, IL; Sisters, Eleanor DeRochi of Taylorville, IL and Betty (husband, Sam) Wood of Mattoon, IL; Step Daughters, Beverly Bergschneider and Kay Champley both of Taylorville, IL; Many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Community of Christ Church in Taylorville with Elder Lori Smothers officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
