Gilbert West

Gilbert Lee "Gibb" West, age 91, of Oneida, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Gibb was born March 9, 1925 to the late Gilbert Marcum and Rotela West.In addition to his parents, Mr. West was preceded in death by his wife, Ona Davis West; grandson, Michael Ray Whitehead; father and mother-in-law, James Howard Davis and Mary Elizabeth Terry Davis; and brother-in-law, Milton Krumbein.Gibb is survived by children, Lana West, Larry West and wife, Peggy, and Debra Deem; grandchildren, James West, Pepper Wilson and husband, Tim, Ginger Phillips and husband, Wade, Amber Lowe and husband, Travis, Lacey West, and Elizabeth Roberts; great-granchildren, Alex Powell, Jamie and Jacob Wilson, Anderson and Amelia Phillips, Brylee and Sawyer Lowe; sister, Chris West Krumbein; nephew, Mark Krumbein; niece, Lisa Krumbein Boltin; as well as several other nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.Friends may visit with the West family on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 6 pm until time of the funeral service at 8 pm in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Terry. Music will be provided by Sis. Heather King and Bro. Chris Sewell. Graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 1 pm in the Marcum-Kidd Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Wilson, Wade Phillips, Travis Lowe, James West, Dudley Crabtree, and Keith Crabtree.
