I don't know why you had leave so early. You should've been here to guide me a lot longer. I'm glad I had you as long as I did but it wasn't long enough. I just hope you were able to teach me as much as you wanted. I'm a better person because of you. I love you and miss you forever and ever amen.

Stanley's Obituary

Stanley L. Casey, 72 of Panama passed away at 9:45 PM on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.He was born on April 6, 1945 at Vandalia the son of Louis and Frances (Stokes) Casey-Schroedel. Stanley married Penelope A. "Penny" Turner on September 14, 1991 at Panama. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Melvin Randy Casey.Stanley was employed as a supervising engineer for AT & T for 25 years, retiring in 1989. He was a 1963 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a US Navy veteran. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 861, Scottish Rite in Belleville, Ainad Shriners in East St. Louis, Panama VFW Post 6628, American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Stanley enjoyed woodworking, fishing and raising and breeding Shih Tzu's.Survivors include: His wife, Penelope A. "Penny" Casey of Panama, IL; Daughters, Amber (Chad) Kalaher and Paula (Troy) Bartz both of Hillsboro, IL; Step son, Kerry Turner of Sorento, IL; 5 Grandchildren, Spencer, Meagan, Garrett, Jordan and Tyler.Cremation rites have been accorded.Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home, 117 Walnut Street, Panama, IL 62077.Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Van Burensburg, IL, with military honors.Memorial Contributions may be made to: Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607, or Paws Care, P.O.
