Juanita Marie McBride

Juanita Marie McBride, age 86, of Westfield, IL passed away at 1:51 a.m. on her birthday, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Casey Health Care Center Casey, IL. She was born September 9, 1931 in Oilfield, IL, the daughter of Noble Neal Grissom and Leona Mae Shrider Grissom. On July 1, 1966 she married William Russell McBride in Casey, IL He passed away on June 27, 2000.

Survivors include daughter, Peggy McDermott (Bryan) of Herod, IL sons, Jerry Paul of Westfield, IL and Bob Paul (Carolyn) of Westfield, IL; stepchildren, Georgia Hardy (Tom) of Casey, IL; W.C. McBride (Regena) of Little Rock, AR; and Chris McBride (Jane) of Lenior City, TN; brothers, Tom Grissom of Cape Coral, FL; Richard Grissom (Joann) of Charleston, IL; sisters, Virginia McCullough of Casey, IL; Shirley Fields of Minooka, IL; Kay Hunsaker (Jim) of Hidalgo, IL; Evelyn Roan of Hidalgo, IL and Liz Novak (Ken) of Festus, MO; two grandchildren, eight step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nineteen step great grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant sister, infant brother, sister, Jeanne Ring and granddaughter, Megan.

Juanita retired from the Casey Shoe Factory after 25 years. She enjoyed and worked at many auction sales and flea markets. Juanita loved flowers, following her grandchildren’s activities and family gatherings.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm prior to the service on Tuesday at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
