Words cannot express our sorrow at the loss of Buzz. Such a wonderful, kind lady. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Pastor Stark and the family. We praise God for the time we knew her and are so thankful for her ministry at Charleston Bible Church.

CHARLESTON, IL – Elizabeth Sharon Stark, age 70 of Charleston, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at her home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Services honoring and celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 with Pastor John Best officiating. It is requested that thoughtful donations in her honor be made to the Charleston Bible Church. Gifts may be left at the visitation or service or mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.
Elizabeth was born July 2, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Sherman and Elizabeth (Brown) Lovegren. She married Norman Stark on August 24, 1968 in Midlothian, Illinois and they have shared 49 years of marriage. In addition to her loving and devoted husband, left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeromy Stark and wife Wen-Yi of Chicago and Haveliah Stark of Charleston; and seven grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded by a brother, Rudolph Lovegren.
Many knew her as “Buzzie”, a nickname given to her by her father at a young age. She was a graduate of Bremen High School in Midlothian and furthered her education at the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music. Following her marriage she devoted her life to being a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was also devoted to her brothers and sisters in Christ in her ministry as a pastor’s wife and was currently a member of the Charleston Bible Church.
Buzzie enjoyed sewing and various crafts, and shopping at the nearest thrift store in search of a bargain. She loved her family dearly and her grandchildren were always near and dear to her heart.
