My heart is heavy upon learning of the passing of this sweet lady. I am proud to call her my friend, she sat behind me in church for as long as I can remember. My sympathy goes out to you Jamie, So sorry, its hard to lose our mothers.

Evelyn's Obituaries

 

Evelyn M. Kelley, age 92, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 10:57 a.m. in Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, IL.

Evelyn was born on December 12, 1924 in Tilden, IL, a daughter to Henry and Kate (Heiman) Wilson. On April 30, 1945, she married John Preston Kelley in Sparta, IL and he preceded her in death on August 20, 1988. Evelyn was a plant manager for Intuitions Women’s Sports Wear, Sparta, IL and retired in 1987. She was a member of the Coulterville Methodist Church for 40 years and in that time she served on their board, a 70 year member of Eastern Star, Sparta, IL, a long time member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Coulterville, IL, and she was elected and served for 20 years on the Coulterville Public Library Board. She loved traveling and supporting the Randolph County Humane Society.

Survivors include her son, James “Jamie” Kelley of Sparta, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Ardell Wilson, Wilbert Wilson and Norman Wilson; and two sisters, Velma Krauss and Pauline Winter.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kimberly Allen officiating. Interment will be in Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta, IL.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Eastern Star services will be on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Randolph County Humane Society or Coulterville Public Library.
