Condolences Ron to you and family...your wife and mother was a very kind, wonderful, loving person...all of you are blessed by her presence and influence in your lives...cherish the memories!

Terry and Jo, Lynne and I are saddened my the passing your your mother. Your mom and I both worked at Moore Farm Buildings back in the 80's. She was a very sweet lady. Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

Lila's Obituary

CHARLESTON, IL – Lila Mae Paap, age 81 of Charleston , went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, while at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehab.  A Private Memorial Service for her family will be conducted by Reverend Dr. Bob Swickard at Adams Funeral Chapel.  Inurnment will follow in Mound Cemetery, Charleston.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Salvation Army or the American Red Cross (East Central Illinois Chapter) and mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.

Lila was born February 26, 1936 in Dawson, Nebraska, a daughter of the late William and Nancy (Myer) Windle.  She married Ronald Paap on August 8, 1954 in Dawson and they have celebrated 63 years of marriage.  In addition to her loving and devoted husband, she leaves four sons, Larry Paap of Burlington, Vermont, Terry Paap and wife Cathy of Charleston, Marc Paap and wife Martha of Clemson, South Carolina and Tim Paap and wife Sara of Charleston; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lee Windle of Lincoln, Nebraska and Donald Windle (Georgia) of Sabetha, Kansas; a sister, Natalie Puett (Donald) of Kansas City, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.   In addition to her parents she was preceded by a sister Joyce Yohn; an infant sister and twin brothers.

Lila was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Charleston and was employed as a secretary/bookkeeper for Moore Building Company for 27 years.  She was the matriarch of her family and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was extremely organized and worked hard at making their house a home, filled with warmth, love and deliciously prepared family meals.  She was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
