Barbara J. Buell

CHARLESTON, IL – Barbara Jean Buell, age 79 of Charleston, went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 while at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehab.  A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tom Farris officiating.  Donations in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society (East Central Illinois Chapter) and mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920.

Barbara was born June 12, 1938 in Mattoon, Illinois to the late Rex and Opal (Ingram) Hall.  She married Gary Ronald Buell on June 29, 1956 in Charleston.  Left to cherish her memory is Ron, her loving and devoted husband of 61 years; three sons, Lance (Lynne) Buell of Plainfield, Illinois, Marty (Loretta) Buell of Charleston and Greg (Debbie) Buell of Ashmore, Illinois; eleven grandchildren; twelve soon to be thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Sharon) Hall and Bill Hall, all of Mattoon; and several nieces and nephews.  Barbara was also preceded by a brother, Harold Scott and a sister-in-law, Jan Hall.

Barb was a graduate of Charleston High School and was employed 37 years at General Electric in Mattoon.  Her family was always her priority and they will forever cherish the happy times spent camping, boating and attending family gatherings which she made so memorable.
