Bobby and Verna You have a lot of memories of your mom. You have been the son she needed to help her through her illness. Anita enjoyed working at the thrift shop. Anita Reye's Obituary

Anita Reye Jones, age 70, of Casey, IL passed away at 5:22 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Aperion Care Center, St. Elmo, IL. She was born August 1, 1947 in Coles County, IL, the daughter of Jackson Brewer and Ethel Marie Simpkins, Brewer. On October 4, 1969 she married Gerald (Jerry) Jones in Westfield, IL.

Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Jerry Jones of Casey, IL; daughter, Anna Gardner (Tom) of Beecher City, IL; sons, Robert Reynolds (Verna) of Casey, IL; Corey Jones of Casey, IL; David Jones (Samantha) of Toledo, IL and Timothy Creighton (Debra) of Benson, NC, IL; sisters, Nancy Lee Burnett (Stanley) of Lee City, KY; Jackie White (Bob) of Toledo, IL; Kay Gordon (Paul) of Westfield, IL; brothers, Clinton Brewer (Shirley) of Westfield, IL; Otto Brewer (Karen) of Charleston, IL; Bill Brewer (Sharon) of Westfield, IL; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Gratton Bennett; sisters, Mittie Enlow, Betty Bence, Faye Cox and Ruby Hills; son, Lawrence Reynolds and grandson, SGT Andrew Creighton.

Anita previously worked for Lincoln Trail Motorsports and was a homemaker. She was a member of Casey First Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Ebbler officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 12 – 1 p.m. on Thursday Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
