I am so sorry, I just found this out talking to Rebecca. I loved talking to LeRoy, he was so super nice, I will miss him, & so will Terry. I pray for all of you, for your loss, I pray for the LORD's comfort upon you all.

LeRoy's Obituary

LeRoy Casmir Lamczik, age 77, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 3:38 p.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital Emergency Room, DuQuoin, IL.

LeRoy was born on February 24, 1940 in DuBois, IL, a son to Daniel and Helen (Gorski) Lamczik. On May 23, 1961, he married Sue Huite in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, DuQuoin, IL and she preceded him in death on May 10, 2012. He was the owner/operator of Lamczik’s Processing and Storage for over 50 years. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Du Quoin, IL, American Legion, DuQuoin, IL and Knights of Columbus. LeRoy enjoyed working in his butcher shop and especially visiting with his many customers. He also enjoyed gardening and gambling. He loved nature, animals and his family.

Survivors include his four children, Robin (James) Jarvis of DuQuoin, IL, Patrick Lamczik of DuQuoin, IL, Rebecca Lamczik (Mitch Harsy) of Vergennes, IL and Dennis Lamczik of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren, Callie Lamczik, Ryan (Shelby) Farthing, Ethan Harsy and Evan Harsy; and two great-grandchildren, Cayden Lamczik and Raiden Farthing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, DuQuoin, IL on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Joseph Oganda officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin, IL. Military graveside rites will be performed by the DuQuoin American Legion and V.F.W.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, DuQuoin, IL from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
