Kristen Lyne Kemper, age 29, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL with her loving family by her side. She was born October 28, 1988 in Effingham IL, the daughter of Clarence Laverne Kemper and Debra Lynn Miles Kemper.
Survivors include her parents, Clarence (Vern) and Debra Kemper of Martinsville, IL; sisters, Jackie Campbell (Dorian) of Casey, IL and Laurie Piehl (Anthony) of Casey, IL; maternal grandmother, Rev. Carolyn Staley of Casey, IL; her pet Boston Terrier, Icy; many uncles, aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clarence and Maxine Kemper; maternal grandfather, Bob Miles and step grandfather, Charles Staley.
Kristen was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, Casey, IL. She had previously attended school in Casey, IL. Kristen’s family affectionately called her their “Angel”.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Cemetery, south of Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
