I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Danny over 30 years and even in my retirement we spoke by phone. We went thru tough times and fun times together. He was a great guy. He will be missed.

Danny J. Friend, 61, of New Baden, IL, born Mar. 18, 1956 in St. Louis, MO, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Centralia, IL.
Danny was an engineer for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Rail Road, Centralia, IL, and was a member of the Quail Club in Millstadt, IL.
He is survived by two daughters, Jamie (Adam) Topping, and Amanda Friend both of Cedar City, UT; his parents, Harold and Nancy, nee Manis, Friend of Lebanon, IL; a brother, Michael Friend of Lebanon, IL; a sister, Wanda (Jerry) Nikolauzyk of Mascoutah, IL; and numerous, nieces nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assn. or the American Diabetes Assn. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting mollfuneralhome.com
