Terry Jones, age 66, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in Landmark Hospital, Cape Girardeau, MO.
Terry was born in DuQuoin, IL on January 21, 1952, a son to Jewell E. (Jones) Lipe. On December 31, 1999, he married Natalie Ridgeway in Pinckneyville, IL and she survives. Terry formerly worked at Chip Banks Chevrolet in the service department from 1997 until 2002 and later worked in maintenance at Pyramid State Park. He loved racing, N.A.S.C.A.R. and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Natalie Jones of Pinckneyville, IL; two sons, Dennis Jones (fiancé, Alicia Dudenbostel) of New Athens, IL and Shawn Jones of Pinckneyville, IL; three step-daughters, Natasha (Josh) Plumlee of Pinckneyville, IL, Lauren Kania of Pinckneyville, IL and Melissa Kania (Dylan Halterman) of Pinckneyville, IL; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; one sister, Jody Morrow; one daughter, Shirley Wieland; and one son-in-law, Joel Wieland.
Terry’s wishes were to be cremated.
Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
