Linda Lee Spittler, age 78, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 11:26 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Milton Looney Henderson and Mary Nell Gunn Henderson, she was born July 11, 1939 in Hiwassee, NC. On August 27, 1960 she married Lawrence A. Spittler, Sr. in Huntsville, AL.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Lawrence Spittler, Sr. of Martinsville, IL; daughter, Elizabeth Lynn Herman of Huntsville, AL; sons, Lawrence A. Spittler, Jr. (Shari) of Midland, TX and Mabron L. Spittler (Jaime) of Hoffman, IL; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda was a retired teacher in Madison Co., AL and owner of Calico Cabin antique shop in Martinsville, IL. She was a Martinsville High School cheerleader sponsor and former Martinsville School Board member.
Private family services and inurnment will be held at a later date.
