Gregory S. "Greg"'s Obituary

Gregory S. “Greg” Hooks, age 65, of Sparta, IL, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018, at 7:51 p.m. in his home.

Greg was born on November 26, 1952 in New Orleans, LA, a son to David R. and Gloria Mae (Pittman) Hooks. On December 1, 2004 he married Laura L. Kent in Murphysboro, IL and she survives. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army and a member of Calvary Church, Sparta, IL. Greg was a airplane enthusiast and worked as a painter on airplanes and gas tanks for Aeroframe and Citco. He most recently worked at Buchheit’s in Sparta, IL.

A memorial service will be held at Calvary Church, Sparta, IL on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim McIntyre officiating.

Friends may call on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church, Sparta, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the family of Greg Hooks.

Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
